Green Aracari from South America.  This piece is about 24 inches high, 10 inches wide, and 8 inches deep.

Bird is carved from tupelo gum wood and various materials were used to create the habitat.

Red-tailed Comet Hummingbird

This is a Red Tailed Comet Hummingbird.  It is found in north central South America.  The piece is about 12 inches high and 8 inches in diameter.  The bird, flower, and leaves are carved in tupelo gum wood and the stem is brass.

This piece can be seen at Piedmont Craftsmen Gallery in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Female Kestrel on Rock

The female Kestrel is the only bird of prey in America which is colored differently than the male.  This piece is about 16 inches high and is about 10 inches in diameter.

The bird is painted in artist oils and the rock is painted in acrylics.  This piece can be seen at the Germanton Gallery in Germanton , North Carolina.
